You can use AUTO mode if you do not have time to set your camera, but I suggest you to use MANUAL settings for maximum results, sometimes using AUTO mode will give less than maximum results.
- However, what kind of settings can provide maximum results? Here's the best setting for your camera when shooting sunset / sunrise:
- Exposure Mode / Exposure Mode: Use MANUAL
- Focus: Use MANUAL too, sometimes when using AUTO focus on shooting the sunset the focused part is not the part we expect.
- Shutter Speed / Shutter Speed: Set at 1/30 second or longer.
- Aperture: Use Aperture on f / 16
- Sensor Sensitivity to Light / ISO: Use 100 or lower numbers (adjusted to conditions only)
- Recommended Lens Used: Lens with sizes 18-24 millimeters (mm)
- Drive Mode: Use a single shot, often called Single Shot.
- WB (White Balance) Setting: Since sunset and sunrise are identical, you can use WB Preset "Daylight".
- Recommended Lens Filter Used: Use ND filter (Neutral Density)
