In addition to Indonesia, these 4 countries also block Telegram Layout


Telegram desktop version has been about five days can not be accessed in Indonesia. The reason is that Telegram used many ISIS groups to spread radical messages.

 Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kemkominfo) confirmed, it will not normalize Telegram website is blocked until the instant messaging service provider meets the requirements requested by the government.

 Apparently, not Indonesia alone that block Telegram service, but to these four countries also participate meblokir. Here is the list of the four countries.


1. Rusia

The government where the birth of Pavel Durov threatened to block Telegram in June 2017. The reason is similar to what happened in Indonesia, namely the Russian government found a terrorist message in Telegram.


2. Iran


In Iran, this app is quite popular. Noted, there are 40 million active users each month. Uniquely, they do not completely block it. The Iranian government only turned off the phone call feature in April 2017. This is the answer to the protests of phone service providers in Iran. They assume, the Telegram will make 40 million users prefer Telegram to call.


3. China


China is the first country to block Telegram in 2015. At that time, there was a cyber war between Telegram operators in Asia Pacific. The Chinese government immediately closed Telegram services through web pages, in order to avoid the impact of the cyber attacks.


4. Saudi Arabia


For security reasons, the Saudi government blocked Telegram in January 2016. Although blocked, users in Saudi Arabia can still use Telegram with Virtual Private Network (VPN).
